VIRGULE BLEUE :
I picked up in the forest this beautiful piece of wood which I cut in the slice and which, after, sanding, revealed a treasure trove of magnificent meanders and lines. The piece was split, but the wood was so beautiful that I tried to highlight it. Those two commas were the answer ! IT remained to DRESS them in transparency to give lightness to this piece of wood and find a way to have the impression that the jewels are suspended in the void.
RENCONTRE :
I found this vine stock during a hike in Touraine. I sanded it and harmonized it then I hesitated a lot on how to highlight it. It reminded me of a flame and I tried a lot to figure out how to add jewelry to it.. Once the idea has been found, it took time to technically find solutions to set up THE jewels in total transparency ! this is one of my favorite sculptures !
DUALITE :
My first metal totem: I worked on the textures and colors of the metal, its beauty when oxidized, sanded, chandelier, rusty… I love the sparks that fly when you work on it ! The addition of wood and jewelry brings the warm and precious side. A nice technical challenge for all these materials to mix in harmony.
